Michael Kenna is one of the most renowned landscape photographers of his generation. His silver photographic prints are revered in exhibitions throughout the world with permanent collections in the Bibliotheque, Paris; The Museum of Decorative Arts, Prague; The National Gallery of Art, Washington DC and; the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. Kenna has been described as a neo-pictorialist. Aesthetics and emotions are integral to his work. Often working alone for long hours in the dark of night, Kenna creates signature images that are mysterious, graceful and hauntingly beautiful. They are evocative more than informative. Kenna aptly describes his body of work as “more haiku than prose.”
Meet the Master in person as he shares his life, work and techniques in an inspiring two-hour lecture. Kenna will be on hand for autographs and phototaking after his presentation. Some of his books and limited edition prints will be on display and available for sale.
